Liverpool restaurant giving away 100 burgers as it reopens for takeaway

A popular Liverpool restaurant is reopening after weeks of closure - and giving away 100 burgers to celebrate.

Jollibee on Whitechapel, which saw huge queues when it opened back in September 2020, closed its doors back in January when England went back into lockdown.

The Filipino restaurant launched across two floors in the former Lush premises on Whitechapel and its menu includes its famous Chickenjoy bucket and Jolly Spaghetti, which is a sweet style pasta with signature sauce, hot dog pieces and cheese.

Now the restaurant has reopened after weeks of closure to offer customers takeaway and delivery services.

To mark the occasion, Jollibee has launched a new £3.99 chicken burger and is giving 100 of them away via Instagram.

The burger features crispy fried chicken, Jollibee's garlic mayo, crunchy Lollo Bionda lettuce on a brioche bun.

To enter the giveaway, customers need to follow the @jollibeeuk Instagram account, like the relevant post and tag a friend. The competition ends at 23:59 on March 25, 2021.

Adam Parkinson, vice president of Europe at Jollibee said: "We are very excited to re-open our Liverpool restaurant for take-away and delivery.

"Lockdown has been tough on the whole country and we know our customers can't wait to get outside to see their friends again. Takeaway food will play a key role in their social schedules over the coming weeks, so we thought it was a great time to launch our new £3.99 chicken burger.

"Don't let the price fool you – we are confident this is the best chicken burger in town. I could talk all day about the quality and care we put into each burger, but instead, we've set the price at £3.99 so our customers in Liverpool can easily taste the quality and decide for themselves."
