One of the most highly-rated roast dinners in Liverpool is on it’s way back after months of waiting.
Slim’s, on Bold Street, which opened inside the former Love Thy Neighbour last summer, has confirmed when it’s famous Sunday roast will return.
The restaurant closed in March when the Government enforced lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic and, despite reopening earlier this month, has yet to add its Sunday roasts to the menu.

Slim’s roast dinner features brisket straight from the smoker, roast chicken or vegan seitan, along with roast potatoes, carrots, tenderstem broccoli, purple cabbage, homemade Yorkshire puddings and a personal serving pot of gravy for £14.95.
Fans of the restaurant have been praising Slim’s for its roast dinner since it opened last year, with TripAdvisor reviewers labelling the meal “exceptional”, “spot on” and “perfect” in their five star reviews.
One reviewer wrote: “I had the Sunday roast, it was the best I have had in years, will definitely be going back again soon.”
Another added: “Wow. Absolutely blown away! Best roast in the city, and what a lovely touch having smoked brisket instead of the usual beef”.
Now, Slim’s has confirmed that it’s roast dinner will return in September.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Slim’s wrote: “We are working on it. We’ve had a lot of questions this week about Sunday roast. Sunday Roast we be returning in September.
“We appreciate your patience whilst we slowly introduce all our items back into the restaurant.
