A Liverpool restaurant said it is “absolutely buzzing” to be named the city’s best restaurant at the Liverpool Lifestyle Awards.
Christakis, which has two sites in Liverpool, ranks among the best in the city on TripAdvisor - and even held the number one spot for almost a year.
The restaurant was given Liverpool’s Best Restaurant Award at a ceremony held at The Liner Hotel.

Christakis shared the news of its win to its Instagram account and said: “Christakis best Liverpool restaurant 2021. Thank you to all our amazing customers for your support and voting us the best. Yiamas”.
In a follow up post, the team added: “Still absolutely buzzing this morning after winning Liverpool's Best Restaurant Award last night at The Liverpool Lifestyle Awards.
“Thank you again to all of our wonderful staff & customers, we appreciate your support!”
Beneath the posts, many fans congratulated the team and said the award was “well deserved”.
One person said: “Wonderful x so well deserved” and a second wrote: “Congratulations wishing you great success in future”.
A third added: “Well deserved congratulations!”
Another said: “Well done guys! Amazing achievement”.
