Liverpool release squad for Super Cup clash with Chelsea - including one big omission

Chelsea take on Champions League winners Liverpool tomorrow night in the UEFA Super Cup and the Reds have announced their squad for the match.

The Blues are trying to bounce back from their disappointing 4-0 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday, and it is going to be a tough test against Jurgen Klopp's side.

Liverpool got their 2019/20 Premier League campaign under way with an impressive 4-1 victory over Norwich City on Friday night, and they will be targetting another piece of silverware.

Both clubs have travelled out to Istanbul for the game tomorrow night, and Liverpool have announced a strong squad.

The one big omission is defender Dejan Lovren, who has remained in England due to illness and is being linked with a move away from Liverpool to Roma.

Goalkeeper Alisson is also not there due to the injury that he suffered at Anfield on Friday, with former West Ham goalkeeper Adrian set to be starting in goal.

Lampard: 'A harsh lesson for my young team today'
