Liverpool are refusing to budge on their £20million valuation for Wales winger Harry Wilson.
Aston Villa are leading the chase for Wilson with Liverpool ready to cash in on him and Leeds, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Southampton have also shown interest.
No club are prepared to meet Liverpool’s £20million asking price and both Villa and Leeds have baulked at their valuation.
Villa may be prepared to go as high as £12million and they are waiting to see if the Reds blink first.
However Liverpool are just as determined that Wilson will not leave on the cheap and will keep him if they do not receive an acceptable offer.
Wilson scored seven Premier League goals last season on loan at Bournemouth and Liverpool feel he has proven himself in the top flight, while he also has three years remaining on his contract.
Wilson, 23, wants regular top-flight football next season and knows he must leave Anfield.
The academy product has been restricted to just one substitute appearance in the FA Cup under Jurgen Klopp and does not feature in his long-term plans.
Liverpool are keen to raise as big a fee from Wilson's sale as possible as they are relying on the money if they are to fund signing any new arrivals.
Marko Grujic finds himself in a similar situation as The Reds would rather not let him go on another loan stint and prefer a permanent deal.
The midfielder is also valued by his club at £20million with Hertha Berlin interested in sealing his return.

One player who could leave on loan is striker Rhian Brewster who impressed in a brief stint at Swansea last season.
Brewster scored 11 goals in 22 games for the Championship side to help them reach the playoffs, before netting three times in Liverpool's pre-season fixtures.
He was then unfortunate to miss a penalty in the Community Shield shootout defeat to Arsenal, but boss Jurgen Klopp is still yet to make a decision on whether to keep the 20-year-old at Anfield this season or allow him to develop elsewhere.
