Liverpool PT offering 'Four Weeks Fit' programme for free in September

A Liverpool personal trainer is offering one of his fitness programmes completely free of charge in September, in order to raise money for a local charity.

Jay Standish, owner of Stand Out Fitness, will be offering his 'Four Weeks Fit' programme for free from September 6 until October 3.

The 27-year-old created the online training programme in November 2020, when the UK entered the second national lockdown.

As people struggled to workout with gyms and fitness centres closed, Jay created the online programme with the intention of it being able to be completed anywhere at any time.

The programme includes seven live workouts per week, a yoga session, 24/7 support, diet plan, meal ideas and 150 pre-recorded workouts to catch up on at your convenience.

The popular programme has so far enabled Jay to help more than 2,000 people with their fitness journeys.

Speaking about the programme, Jay said: “Four Weeks Fit has transformed so many people’s lives already and I’m really proud to offer an online programme that actually gets the results my clients want, as well as supports them with their nutrition and health goals."

A course participant said: "Even after lockdown finished, I continued with the programme because each month it gets better and more challenging and it feels like Jay is there pushing you on like in a personal training session. He is also very hands on and easy to contact.”

This September, Jay will be offering the four week fitness course free of charge to anyone wanting to participate, with all proceeds going to the Owen McVeigh Foundation.

The charity supports children suffering from cancer across Merseyside and their families, through providing them with unique experiences and the opportunity to make memories.

Jay, 27, is a personal trainer and the owner of Stand Out Fitness (Propel PR)

Jay, from Hale Village, lost his own dad to cancer when he was just 15, making him all the more passionate about his charity of choice.

He said: “Seeing someone that you love unwell is always a huge shock and I never thought that something like this would happen to me and my family. My dad was a huge fitness fan and so I’m taking September to do this month’s Four Weeks Fit for charity to honour him, while helping as many people as possible.

"I know this is something that he would be really proud of as family was everything to him. Supporting the Owen McVeigh Foundation in the process is really important to me; this charity is about helping those suffering and supporting their families during such difficult times and they provide money can’t buy moments that families can cherish forever.”

The programme will be complete free of charge, and Jay just asks that anyone who is taking part makes a donation to the Owen McVeigh Foundation, if they are able to.

He said: “There is no obligation to donate but if those signing up to Four Weeks Fit in September can donate even £1, I’d be so grateful as it’ll make a huge difference. All donations, no matter how big or small, will add up and help as many families as possible.”
