Gini Wijnaldum breaks silence on Liverpool exit
Gini Wijnaldum has all but confirmed he will leave Liverpool at the end of his contract this summer.
The Dutchman captained the Reds on what could be his final appearance at home to Crystal Palace as Jurgen Klopp 's men looked to secure a top four finish in the Premier League.
And speaking ahead of the game, the midfielder confirmed he is currently set to leave the club.
He said: "As it looks right now, it is (goodbye). The club and I didn't agree to a new contract.
"If you look at the facts, from the first of July my contract is over."
Liverpool boss Klopp paid tribute to Wijnaldum in his programme notes ahead of the game.
And when asked by Sky Sports if he had seen what his manager had said, the Dutchman admitted it will be an emotional afternoon for him at Anfield as he returned the favour.

Roy Keane should have known better
Liverpool supporters have long known that while form is temporary, class is permanent, writes Ian Doyle.
And the old adage has never proven quite so true as during the last few astonishing weeks of an at times tortuous campaign.
From being under threat of missing out on European competition completely, Jurgen Klopp’s side have earned the salvation of Champions League qualification.
Indeed, that Liverpool ended a topsy-turvy final day in third place underlined the incredible resolve and spirit that has returned to the squad at precisely the right time.
It wasn’t always pretty. But it was never going to be. The last five games – all cup finals, said Klopp – needed to be won, and, sometimes by sheer bloody-mindedness, they were.
Former Manchester United man Roy Keane declared Liverpool as “bad champions” when they were at their lowest ebb earlier this year.
He should have known better. What has transpired over the final 10 games – taking 26 points from a possible 30 – has demonstrated just why the Reds have been the only side to threaten Manchester City’s dominance under Pep Guardiola.
