Former Liverpool youngster Joao Teixeira has branded Jurgen Klopp ‘a master’ and hailed his man management.
Since arriving at Liverpool in October 2015, Klopp has been instrumental in guiding the club to the pinnacle of club football.
After suffering three successive cup final defeats, Klopp finally got his hands on a piece of silverware at the end of the 2018/19 season when his side lifted the European Cup.
Then, just a year later, he ended a 30-year wait for a league title as Liverpool were finally crowned Premier League champions.
“The style of play and the way Jurgen pulls on players is unique, but I believe he’d be successful in any way for the quality he has,” Teixeira told Portuguese publication Record.
“He’s special for the personal relationship he has with the players, as well as for the tactical work.
“He’s a master. He manages to combine the two and that is what makes him so successful.
“He’s a person who likes to be in touch, in a good mood, it’s easy to have a good relationship with him.”
Teixeira, who joined Feyenoord from Vitoria Guimaraes in the summer, rejected a new Liverpool contract to make what he described as his 'dream' move to FC Porto back in the summer of 2016.
The now 27-year-old moved to Anfield from Sporting Lisbon in 2012, but failed to make an impact in the first-team, making just eight senior appearances in his time with the club.
