A Liverpool auction house said Merseyside property is in high demand after their first event of the year fetched £8.2m.
Sutton Kersh Auctions listed more than 100 residential properties, both occupied and vacant.
The team had sold £5m worth of property before the auction took place yesterday (Thursday, February 16), with the total hitting £8.2m and still rising thanks to post-auction sales.

Standout lots included a home in the L19 area, close to Liverpool South Parkway, which was in need of a revamp. It fetched £156,000, £36,000 over the asking price.

A three-bed home in Bootle also sold for £114,000, £34,000 over its guide price. The Southport Road property is currently let, bringing in £9,000 a year in rental income.
A mid-terrace in L6 also prompted strong interest from bidders despite needing a full upgrade. It was listed for £60,000 and sold for £99,950.
Cathy Holt, associate director at Sutton Kersh Auctions, said: "The demand for residential lots is still high and once again auctions are proving a popular way for first time buyers to climb onto the property ladder.
"I believe this is because the total cost of a property and refurbishment could be lower than getting a mortgage to cover a house that is move-in-ready."
The next Sutton Kersh auction is set to take place in April 2023.
