Liverpool 'plot £20m deal' for Toni Kroos as Dusan Vlahovic agent makes contract claim

The transfer window has closed for another summer, and Jurgen Klopp now knows what Liverpool squad he has to work with until at least January.

Ibrahima Konate was the only first-team addition that the Reds brought to the club, while several left Anfield either on a loan basis or on permanent deals.

Despite the transfer window being closed, Liverpool continue to be linked with potential new players when deals can be completed again in the New Year.

Here, we take a lookout some of the latest rumours doing the rounds online and on social media and how likely they are to happen.

Who?

Toni Kroos, Real Madrid midfielder.

Where?

El Nacional , Spanish news outlet.

What?

According to the report, Liverpool are looking to sign the Germany international in the coming months.

The report goes on to say that Klopp is a big fan of Kroos, with the Reds looking to get a £20m deal for the 31-year-old over the line.

It has also been claimed that Kroos could leave the Spanish capital, with Real looking to raise funds after struggling for cash over the past couple of years.

Since Kroos arrived at Madrid in 2014, the German has made 322 appearances and helped the club win 14 major trophies along the way.

Who?

Adama Traore, Wolves forward.

Where?
Football Insider .

What?

According to former Premier League striker Kevin Phillips, Traore would be wise to move to Liverpool.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Anfield over the past couple of years, and those rumours resurfaced earlier this week.

Reports in Spain claimed that Liverpool have contacted Wolved over signing Traore in the coming months, and now Phillips has had his say.

The former Sunderland striker says that while Traore would not be a regular starter at Anfield, he believes the forward has enough quality to be a good signing for the Reds.

“I think it would be more of an impact sub solution – I think that’s all he would give them,” Phillips told Football Insider .

“I can’t see him starting loads and loads of games, it would almost be that Shaqiri situation where he comes off the bench.

“He would probably get more minutes than Shaqiri did.

“Does he start every week? Of course not, because he won’t dislodge Mane, Jota, Firmino, Salah.

“I think he would be a really good impact player, but his form at Wolves has been pretty poor.

“From a player’s point of view, if you get the opportunity to go to Liverpool – you take it.”

Who?

Dusan Vlahovic, Fiorentina striker.

Where?

Firenze Viola , Italian news outlet.

What?

The agent of reported Vlahovic insists the player will not renew his contract at Fiorentina.

The Reds have been linked with the Serbia international over the past few months, with the striker being one of the brightest prospects across Europe.

Vlahovic’s representatives have said that an offer of £50m was made by an unnamed interested club, but that was turned down by Fiorentina.

The Serie A club have made offers to renew Vlahovic’s contract, but the player’s agent says that the player wants to leave for a new challenge.

“We have no intention of negotiating the renewal with Fiorentina,” the striker’s camp explains in Firenze Viola .

“This summer we brought Fiorentina an offer of €60 million plus bonuses. There was already an agreement between us and the buying club – but President (Rocco) Commisso did not want to hear.

“Rocco replied by telling us Vlahovic is like a son to him, that he wouldn’t have sold him in any circumstances and he would have done everything to renew his contract.”
