Liverpool players pay tribute at Anfield on 30th anniversary of Hillsborough disaster

Liverpool players have honoured the victims of the Hillsborough disaster on the 30th anniversary of the tragedy.

Jurgen Klopp and his first-team squad laid wreaths at Anfield in memory of the 96 supporters who died, as did the Liverpool Ladies team, academy sides and chief executive officer Peter Moore.

A minute's silence is to be held across Liverpool at 15:06, the time the FA Cup semi-final with Nottingham Forest was stopped in 1989.

Liverpool and Chelsea perfectly observed a minute's silence before their Premier League clash on Sunday.

The Reds will not hold a memorial service as in previous years although the Kop has been opened for people who want to sit and reflect.
