Liverpool players and fans unite in support of Iker Casillas

Liverpool players and fans  have been showing their support for Iker Casillas on social media.

The legendary stopper, who made his name playing for Real Madrid, suffered a suspected heart attack on Wednesday afternoon and was taken to Hospital CUF in Portugal - although he is now said to be in a stable condition.

Despite spending the majority of his playing career at Los Blancos, Casillas has spent the last four years at Porto, with the 37-year-old a part of the Portuguese side that was comfortably beaten by the Reds in the quarter-finals of the Champions League just a couple of weeks ago.

But Reds fans have put their rivalry to one side, with many coming out and showing support for the former Spanish international on Twitter.

This was the Liverpool team which beat Barcelona in 2007 Champions League
