Liverpool player ratings vs West Ham as Reds come from behind to win again

Liverpool came from 2-1 down to beat West Ham 3-2 and move to within 12 points of the Premier League title.

It looked like being another comfortable night for the Reds when Gini Wijnaldum put them into the lead after just nine minutes, but Issa Diop replied for the Hammers just three minutes later in a lively start.

Pablo Fornals stunned Anfield with a tidy finish for the visitors after 54 minutes, but Mo Salah restored parity after his weak shot squirmed through Lukasz Fabianski's hands.

And Sadio Mane sealed the victory when Trent-Alexander Arnold's cross found him to tap into an empty net.

Liverpool player ratings

Alisson- 6

Will be angry he didn’t save Diop’s header, though it came at him quickly.

Alexander-Arnold- 7

Brilliant thinking for Wijnaldum goal with quick cross, and vibrant all night.

Gomez- 5

Got caught on his heels for West Ham opener, and flat footed for second too.

van Dijk- 6

Strange performance. Looked comfortable, but two bad goals conceded.

Robertson- 7

Some quality delivery from the left, and one of the main threats in side.

Wijnaldum- 6

Fantastic header with a just a shade of his Barca goal, but passing indifferent.

Fabinho- 6

Steady as always, but his incisive passing of early season seems to have gone.

Keita- 5

Big chance for him, but seems he was the only person in Anfield who didn’t know.

Salah- 6

Looked a little out of sorts early on, but turned up with big goal when mattered.

Firmino- 6

Some fine touches and came close early, missed big chance in second half.

Mane- 7 (MOTM)

One incredible piece of skill worth admission alone, a real livewire for Reds.

West Ham player ratings

Fabianski- 4

Disappointing for opening goal of night, even worse for shocking second.

Ngakia- 6

Daunting task in only his second game, but performed brilliantly against odds.

Diop- 7

Superb header at near post to score and was strong at back all evening.

Ogbonna- 6

Powerful presence in middle of defence, but sometimes clumsy on the ball.

Cresswell- 6

Left foot was an outlet for Hammers, and he plugged away with good energy.

Snodgrass- 7

Fantastic delivery from corner for Dip to score, and cause a few problems on break.

Rice- 7

Big role in the middle trying to choke play, did well until his side tired late on.

Noble- 7

Lots of energy and fight, led by example and you loved the way he mixed it.

Soucek- 6

Looked good on ball but not on it enough, and subbed off very early.

Anderson- 6

Hardly saw ball in first half, and subbed off in second, not his best display.

Antonio- 7

Hard job grafting on his own up front, but did it with  presence and power.

Subs: Fornals 6 (Soucek 47)Haller 6 (Anderson 65) Bowen (Snodgrass 84)
