A commanding display from the Brazilian, who was flawless in tough conditions.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7

Exposed defensively in the first-half, but improved in the second and produced a superb assist for Mo Salah's goal. Off for Joe Gomez on 66 minutes.

Joel Matip - 7

Continued his impressive form and was a commanding figure at the back.

Virgil van Dijk - 7

Struggled in the opening 30 minutes, but recovered to produce another commanding display. Also added his name to the scoresheet with a powerful header.

Andy Robertson - 6

Another who struggled in the first-half and was replaced by Jordan Henderson with 19 minutes remaining.

Fabinho - 8

A composed figure on the ball throughout, the former Monaco man kept his side ticking over.

James Milner - 6

Offered plenty of energy in the middle of the park, but lacked some much needed quality.

Georginio Wijnaldum - 6

Struggled in the first-half, but grew into the game and regained his composure.

Sadio Mane - 8

Scored his sides opener to settle any nerves the Reds faithful had, and was a constant threat all night.

Mo Salah  - 8

Another outstanding display from the former Chelsea man. Deservedly got his name on the scoresheet and ran the Porto defence ragged, despite having to feed on scraps at times.

Divok Origi - 5

Failed to take his opportunity and offered very little in the opening 45 minutes. Off for Roberto Firmino at the interval.

Roberto Firmino - 7

Looked back to his best. Instantly made a difference and deservedly got his name on the scoresheet.

Joe Gomez - 6

Massive plus for the Reds to get him back on the pitch after five months out.

Jordan Henderson - 7

Offered some much needed energy and provided a lovely cross for Firmino to score.
