Liverpool player ratings - Takumi Minamino and Naby Keita good vs Norwich

Caoimhin Kelleher 8

Clutched a shot from Idah and easily dealt with rare Norwich sorties while saving Tzolis penalty with his feet. Quick off his line, too.

Conor Bradley 7

Composed on his debut and confident enough to raid down the flank, and wasn’t affected after fouling Giannoulis for penalty.

Ibrahima Konate 7

Dominant in the air but significantly less so on the ground, and let down by some iffy passes first half before settling the long the game progressed.

Joe Gomez 7

Emerged triumphant in real battle with the physical Idah, and blocked twice brilliantly as Norwich sought to score from penalty rebound. Captain’s performance.

Kostas Tsimikas 8

Deliveries from corners caused all sorts of problems and prompted the opener. Defensively made to work at times, and good cross for the second. Subbed.

Curtis Jones 7

Playing as the defensive midfielder on his 50th appearance, good discipline and neat footwork got him out of tight spaces. Impressed when pushed further forward second half.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 6

Occasional good moment but too often held on to the ball too long and wasted energy mopping up his own mistakes. Kept going and better second half with assist for Minamino’s second.

Naby Keita 8

Helped Liverpool dominate the midfield in the opening half-hour with an excellent display of pressing and passing. Subbed at half-time.

Kaide Gordon 7

Few chances for debutant to show his pace first half but cut inside to make one opening he struck into side-netting. Became more prominent after interval as game was stretched.

Divock Origi 8

Provided a focal point for the attack, pressed well and presence provided assist for the opener. Brilliant header for Liverpool’s second and close with another effort. He’s back – again.

Takumi Minamino 8

Took opening goal well and always a danger when racing into space in behind the Norwich back line, and persistence paid off with clever second.

Tyler Morton (for Keita 46) 7

Slotted into the defensive midfield role impressively on debut.

Andy Robertson (for Tsimikas 66) 6

Played one daft square pass that caused trouble but otherwise solid.

Jordan Henderson (for Jones 87)

Touched the ball a few times.
