Liverpool player ratings - Captain Jordan Henderson outstanding as Reds win FIFA Club World Cup

Alisson Becker 7

Got away with one poor pass and saw one clearance partially charged down. Good save denied Barbosa second half.

Trent Alexander-Arnold 7

Two excellent passes created chances early on and shot wide from range during an impressive opening. Defensive struggled at times against Henrique but a major threat at other end.

Joe Gomez 8

Solid defensively and able to initiate a few attacks first half. Good block denied Henrique. Impressively assured after the interval, the Flamengo attack barely having a sniff.

Virgil van Dijk 7

Nothing too fancy from the Dutchman, who was regularly belting it clear. Wasn't having it from Barbosa, either.

Andy Robertson 7

One or two trademark forward forays but more on the backfoot towards the break. More space in which to operate as game went on.

Jordan Henderson 9

Provided good cover for the defence and covered a lot of ground. Came into his own second half, and brilliant ball through initiated the winner. Outstanding.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 5

Given the opportunity by Klopp, didn't quite take it with an inconsistent display that was halted prematurely after landing awkwardly.

Naby Keita 6

Always looked to move Liverpool forward and picked up bits in midfield. Should have done better with early chance, though, and second half was restricted to mainly defensive duties. Subbed.

Mohamed Salah 7

Given hardly any time on the ball first half but still teed up shot for Keita before break. Wide with shot after interval, and drew save from Alves with one effort. Booked after referee conned by Vitinho.

Roberto Firmino 8

Started strongly and unfortunate first-minute opening didn't come down quicker. Went quiet but came again second half, unlucky to hit the inside of the post and popped up with the winner. Booked for his celebration.

Sadio Mane 7

Double-marked at times and found it difficult to wriggle into space before interval. Booked for not very much. Then there was the penalty incident, before an excellent assist for Firmino's goal.

Adam Lallana (for Oxlade-Chamberlain 75) 7

Some good touches as Liverpool looked to keep the ball moving as Flamengo tired.

James Milner (for Keita 100) 6

Booked within minutes and helped keep the midfield solid.

Divock Origi (for Firmino 105) 6

Another final appearance, another winners' medal.
