Stood up well to Onyeka for early chance but exposed for all three Brentford goals. Put under intense pressure in the air at times.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 5
Saw a fair amount of the ball in the opening quarter but didn’t do a lot with it. Bit better after the break but twice left totally exposed at the far post for goals.

Goalline clearance denied Mbeumo and the one Liverpool defender to look convincing. Stepped out of defence on occasion second half.
Virgil van Dijk 5
Really unsettled by Toney and given a physical going over at times during first half and pulled out of position. Bit more composed after break but a tough evening.

Curtis Jones 7
Started strongly and the one Liverpool player instantly up to speed with the battle. Unlucky to hit post with one shot and blasted in the third with a great strike. Subbed.
Mohamed Salah 7
Denied by clearance off line by Ajer early on and did well in build-up to equaliser. Given close attention by Brentford, took goal well but could have scored another at 3-2.

Sent Salah through for his chance, brilliantly headed home the equaliser and was somehow denied by Raya from close range. Let down by some slack touches in good positions, though.

Gave the ball away too often first half but did well in some defensive situations. Pretty much the same story in the second half.
Roberto Firmino (for Jones 68) 5
Didn’t make the difference he would have wanted on return to action.
