Liverpool plan TWO parades for winning Premier League and Champions League

Liverpool are planning to hold two separate parades if they win the Premier League and the Champions League.

The Reds sit just a point behind Manchester City going into the final game of the top-flight season on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp's side host Cardiff at Anfield while City go to Brighton knowing only a win will guarantee successive titles.

Liverpool's dramatic comeback against Barcelona on Tuesday night means they are also in with a shout of winning a sixth European crown.

Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum each scored twice as the Reds wiped out their three-goal first-leg deficit by claiming a 4-0 victory at Anfield.

They will face Tottenham in the final at the start of next month after Spurs staged a sensational turnaround of their own.

Facing a 3-0 aggregate deficit at half-time of the second leg against Ajax in Amsterdam, Lucas Moura struck a hat-trick to send the Londoners into the final.

Should Liverpool claim the Premier League title on Sunday, they will be rewarded with an open-top bus parade through the city on Monday.

And if they follow that up with victory in Madrid against Spurs, they will show off the trophy the following day on Sunday June 2.

Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson told the Liverpool Echo: "Whichever team you support, there is no doubting the positive impact sporting success for each of our clubs has on the city, not just economically but also in terms of a feelgood factor.

"It rightly generates huge pride and attracts massive international attention.

"If the Reds win one or two trophies, they will receive a well-deserved heroes' welcome and we will put on a show to make the city proud."
