Liverpool pizza takeaway people say is 'better than Domino's' teases new venue

One of Liverpool’s most popular pizza restaurants has teased plans for a third venue in Merseyside.

Dough Pizza launched its first restaurant in Litherland in December 2017 and opened its second in Wirral in February this year.

Customers regularly claim that its pizzas are better than Domino’s, which we put to the test in our review .

It began as an Instagram business but due to demand its team opened the Litherland venue which started out as takeaway only before expanding to offer customers the choice of sitting in.

The team previously had a stall at Dockside Dining too.

Although Dough specialises in pizza, its menu also includes garlic bread, pastas, fries and pastas.

Now, owners have teased a third venue in St Helens , taking to Instagram to say: “St Helens...we got ya. Opening soon.”

Though no date or location has been released, we can only assume the restaurant will be up and running fully once coronavirus lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Fans of the pizza brand are already excited at the prospect of a new location, leaving comments such as “Yes!!!” and “GET IN!!!!!” beneath the post.

Another added: “These do the best halloumi fries! I can’t wait for this to open.”

A fourth said: “They dough deserve this!”
