Liverpool owner John W. Henry's wife sends title warning to Man City after Man Utd draw

Liverpool owner John W. Henry's wife reminded the world that the Reds are still unbeaten at the top of the Premier League after Sunday's draw with Manchester United.

Linda Pizzuti Henry took to Twitter following the disappointing result, in which Liverpool's 100 per cent winning record was ended.

"Today's away draw at Old Trafford is only one point," she tweeted. "But Liverpool remain unbeaten in the Premier League and top of the table."

Liverpool had the chance to go eight points clear at the top at Old Trafford after closest rivals and current champions Manchester City beat Crystal Palace on Saturday.

But against bitter rivals United, the Reds were second best for large spells.

The Red Devils went into the game two points above the relegation zone, having won just two games all season.

They remain two points above the drop zone, and failed to improve their win ratio, but took two points off Liverpool who have blown everyone else out the water in the early stages of the season.

Marcus Rashford put the home side ahead as United started the stronger of the two teams in the afternoon fixture.

But the Red Devils were unable to hold onto their lead and conceded through Adam Lallana, who came off the bench for Liverpool.

The Reds remain favourites to win a first Premier League title this season, but the United result has shown the rest of the division they're not invincible.
