Liverpool owner John W Henry hints at exciting Reds developments 'tomorrow'

John W Henry insists Liverpool are "always" thinking about the future, even if that focus might have wavered somewhat in the wake of their Premier League title success.

Reds fans around the world are still celebrating the end of a 30-year wait for a top-flight league title, as the club's first success in the Premier League era was achieved with a record amount of matches remaining - even if the coronavirus pandemic forced it to be delayed.

But Henry says that there is still a focus on what the club can do "tomorrow" despite achieving what many supporters see as their ultimate goal.

“One of the things that come along with winning is immediately talking about the future," the Fenway Sports Group told LFCTV.

“We’re always tomorrow-based.

"We’re always thinking about tomorrow but right now we’re champions of England and that’s what we’re thinking about.”

Henry went on to praise the work of manager Jurgen Klopp and the club's staff for their role in the success.

"I could go on and on about Jurgen and how his heart is larger than his frame, how his enthusiasm affects all of us positively every day,” he added.

“But I think what is important is he is determined every day to do the right thing, whether it’s with regard to what happens on the pitch, whether it’s regard to nutrition for the club. He is just determined every day to do the right thing and that rubs off.

“He works every day with Mike Gordon and Michael Edwards, two people that I’ve met that have the strongest moral code you could imagine.

“It’s quite amazing to be involved with people on a day-to-day basis who are really talented and really committed to what they do. The fact that it’s the kind of people – Jürgen and Mike and Michael and Tom [Werner] and Peter [Moore]. It’s an extraordinary group.
