Liverpool opponents for FA Cup fourth round confirmed with home tie set

Liverpool have now discovered who they will face in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Reds will face Cardiff City at Anfield after overcoming Shrewsbury.

Fourth round fixtures are due to take place between Friday, February 4 and Monday, February 7.

Jurgen Klopp’s side progressed to the fourth round after coming from behind to claim a 4-1 win over Shrewsbury Town at Anfield.

Liverpool initially went a goal down to the League One outfit, with Daniel Udoh opening the score sheet in the first half.

Kaide Gordon equalised for the home side, becoming the club’s second youngest ever scorer aged 17 years and 94 days, behind only Ben Woodburn.

Fabinho put Liverpool in front from the penalty spot just before half time, but the Reds were made to wait for their third goal.

A backheel from substitute Roberto Firmino put Liverpool 3-1 up, before Fabinho got his second goal of the game with the final kick of the match.
