Liverpool 'open talks' with Premier League clubs over Harry Wilson loan as Bournemouth lead race for Wales star

Liverpool have opened talks with a number of Premier League clubs over the potential loan exit of Harry Wilson, according to reports.

It's claimed that Bournemouth lead the race to secure the services of the Wales international for the duration of the 2019/20 season.

Wilson signed a long-term contract with the Reds last summer before being sent to Derby where he flourished under Frank Lampard.

However, despite impressing for the Merseysiders during pre-season, he was left out of the matchday squad for Liverpool's Charity Shield defeat to Man City and appears destined to secure another temporary move away from Anfield.

And it's been reported that Bournemouth - who will be without Wilson's Wales team mate David Brooks for three months due to injury - are edging ever closer to taking Wilson to the south coast of England.

"We are in constant conversations, that's clear. We have to do the right thing for us and for the boy," Klopp said after his side's friendly win over Lyon.

"He is obviously a really good player and I was really happy with him in the whole pre-season."

The 22-year-old netted 18 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions for Derby last term.
