Competition categories include Cutest Puppy, Prettiest Pooch, Best Tricks, Handsomest Boy, Waggiest Tail, and Fancy Dress.
Entrants will be allocated a slot to impress the judges on stage, before being paraded through the audience at Chavasse Park.
There will be a winner for each category, who will take home a celebratory cake from The Original Dog Bakery, as well as a £50 Liverpool ONE gift card. Every entrant will receive a Liverpool ONE Dog Show collar rosette.
The show will be hosted by Leanne Campbell and judged by a panel consisting of Danielle Greenberg from The Liverpool Vets, Caitlin Carroll from The Original Dog Bakery, and Jan Hughes of Care for the Paw.
Care for the Paw is the charity partner of the event, it aims to support dogs who are sleeping rough or in temporary accommodation. The charity will be raising funds at the event, which are currently for Staffordshire Bull Terrier Buster, who urgently requires an operation to remove a lump on his leg.
Vet Danielle will also be delivering a Q&A session on stage, where she will be on hand to answer any questions about your pets, focusing on wellness, nutrition, and health tips.
Liverpool ONE will also be undergoing a dog-friendly transformation, with allocated spaces for water bowls located throughout the city centre, and a selection of its restaurants welcoming dogs.
The Liverpool ONE Dog Show will take place on Sunday, September 5, and is free to attend.
Those wishing to enter their dogs into any competitions must register on the day at Chavasse Park between 11am - 12pm. There are a limited number of spaces available for each competition category, and it will work on a first come, first serve basis.
The show will take place from 1pm until 4pm, and competitions are free to enter.
Organisers have advised that all dogs must be kept on a lead while in Liverpool ONE.
