The return of Liverpool ONE’s popular Bar Hutte has been cancelled due to Liverpool’s Tier 2 status.
The bar, which puts a unique spin on an Alpine Apres Ski bar throughout the festive period, confirmed last month that it would be back in the city centre from November 13.
Now, organisers have confirmed that Bar Hutte will not go ahead this year due to “many complications and limitations”.
Bar Hutte shared the news on Facebook, claiming it “fought our very hardest” to open.
In the message to fans, the team wrote: “People of Liverpool! We’re very sorry to say that due to new restrictions in place, despite Liverpool being placed into Tier 2, Bar Hütte will not be taking place this year in Liverpool One.
“We have fought our very hardest to make this year’s experience work, with food, drinks and festivities, however, we have come up against many complications and limitations that unfortunately mean it’s not possible to open.
“We really hoped this wouldn’t happen, and we apologise for letting you down. We’d like to thank you for all the support until now and we hope to see you again in 2021.
“For those of you with existing bookings in both cities, our team will be contacting you all over the next few days.”
While bars are permitted to open while Liverpool is under Tier 2 restrictions, they must be able to operate as restaurants and offer a “substantial meal”.
