Liverpool ‘one of the warmest’ places in UK tomorrow predicts Met Office

Liverpool is set to be one of the warmest places in the country this week, as coronavirus social distancing sees millions flock inside their homes.

The Met Office said temperatures in Liverpool will be 7C to 8C higher than average for this time of year as warmer weather sweeps the north west.

With highs of up to 18C, Liverpool will be one of the warmest places in the country on Tuesday.

Meterologist for the Met Office, Alex Burkill, told the ECHO: “It’s warm at the moment and it’s going to be even warmer tomorrow.

“Liverpool could be one of the warmest places in the UK.

“Tomorrow we could be looking at 18C, and that’s about 7C to 8C warmer than average for this time of year. It’s likely to be warm all week.”

The good weather comes as people up and down the country face lockdown as even stricter measures are expected to be implemented by the government later today.

Alex added: “It’s good that people will be able to go into their garden, but a shame people will miss out on the weather indoors.

“But at least the weather isn’t as hazardous as it was at the start of the year [when there was flooding].”

Tonight the weather is expected to be dry and clear with patchy frost likely across the region.

Some areas will see some high level cloud, which could inhibit frost formation. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

However moving into Tuesday the weather will warm up considerably.

The weather report on the Met Office's website states: "Another chilly start to Tuesday, but a dry and sunny day follows. The north of the region could see some patchy cloud through the day.

"Breezy but warmer than Monday.

"Maximum temperature 15 °C.

"The outlook for Wednesday to Friday is a dry day on Wednesday with a little more cloud than previous days.

"Cloudy on Thursday with some rain possible.

"Showers on Friday with sunny spells.

"Milder by night."
