Shaqiri switch blocked, Liverpool offer €15m for new goalkeeper and other transfer rumours rated

January's halfway mark is very nearly upon us, and that means one thing: transfer rumours are in full swing.

Liverpool are being linked with a goalkeeper once again, this time with a new claim regarding a potential deal, while two experienced players are being linked with a move away from Merseyside.

For one of them, a switch will definitely not be happening, while for the other, a deal potentially could be on the cards.

Here are your rumours rated for Tuesday as Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards continue to be linked with making moves behind the scenes.

Who?

Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, who has been extensively linked with the Reds in recent weeks.

Where?

Sabar, via Sport Witness, claim that reports of a swap deal involving Loris Karius are wide of the mark, but a straight cash purchase has been discussed.

What?

Liverpool are said to hold an interest in the goalkeeper, who has been impressing in Turkey this season.

Trabzonspor are said to have turned down a €15 million from the Reds because they want to keep him until the end of the campaign.

Not only would that mean they can keep hold of a vital player for a little longer, but they reportedly are hoping that he performs well at Euro 2020 during the summer and therefore they can increase the asking price.

Shaqiri denied Italy move

Who?

Liverpool's Swiss winger, who AS Roma reportedly want.

Where?

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed the Italian side are interested in Shaqiri - but the Reds are having none of it.

What?

With Nicolo Zaniolo looking set to miss the remainder of the season through injury, Roma reportedly made an enquiry about the possibility of taking Shaqiri on loan as a replacement, but they were refused.

The Reds reportedly told them there was 'no chance' of it happening, with the talented attacker potentially still having the chance to make a big impact this season.

Klopp certainly would not want to let him leave without getting a replacement in, which is difficult in January. The 28-year-old could yet have a big say in what the Reds achieve this year.

Clyne urged to find way out

Who?

Nathaniel Clyne, Liverpool's right-back.

Where?

Danny Mills, speaking to Football Insider, has told Clyne to move to West Ham United, who have been linked with him recently.

What?

The Reds are open to letting Clyne leave this month, and a move to David Moyes' side could be on the table.

Mills said: "I think he’s a very good player, a very good defender and he’s been unfortunate and obviously the emergence of Alexander-Arnold has clearly hampered his progress but I think he’s a good player.

"Somebody, once he gets himself a 100% fit, will benefit greatly from the player that he is."

Time will tell whether Clyne's future lies in London or elsewhere.
