Here are your Liverpool morning headlines for Monday, 5 October.
Liverpool’s outstanding transfer issues
Liverpool could bank a considerable sum of money from the departures of a few players on deadline day, as detailed by the ECHO’s Paul Gorst .
While it seems unlikely that Jurgen Klopp will add to his squad, Xherdan Shaqiri is expected to leave Anfield before the 11pm deadline.
The Swiss playmaker has attracted interest from Serie A having previously been linked with Roma. The Reds want around £20m for Shaqiri, while a similar fee has been mooted for Harry Wilson, who is also expected to leave.
Burnley have already had a bid for the Welshman turned down, although it is possible that Wilson will leave on Monday, either on loan or in a permanent deal.

Marko Grujic and young defender Nathaniel Phillips are two more players tipped to head elsewhere today.
Adrian’s tragicomedy
Adrian failed to ease fears over Liverpool’s error-strewn defensive displays with his own clanger in the 7-2 defeat by Aston Villa, writes Paul Gorst .
With concerns over the severity of Alisson’s shoulder injury, Adrian got Liverpool’s night at Villa Park off to a disastrous start, gifting the home side their first goal following a wayward pass inside the Reds’ penalty area.
It was the latest error from the Spaniard, who was also at fault against Southampton, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid last season.
With Alisson possibly out for up to six weeks, another unconvincing display between the sticks has only intensified the pressure on the Brazilian’s deputy with Everton and Ajax to come after the international break.
Reds miss Mane - Evra
Patrice Evra believes Liverpool are severely blunted as an attacking force without Sadio Mane.
The Senegalese forward missed the trip to Villa Park after testing positive for coronavirus, with his absence keenly felt on a dark evening for the champions.
And former United defender Evra believes Mane makes all the difference for Klopp’s side.
"When there is no Mane, there is no party because he is the one giving the pressure," Evra told Sky Sports after the game .
"Firmino is not an aggressive player, Salah is not an aggressive player, so I think they missed Mane a lot.
"But actually, the Villa manager must be so proud. They executed the plan perfectly. They prepared that game.
"Even Grealish from the wide position, cutting inside, he created so much damage for Liverpool.”
