Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain involved in confrontation with Man United fans

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was involved in a bizarre confrontation with Manchester United fans following Liverpool's 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Adam Lallana was the Reds' hero as he tapped home a late equaliser to cancel out Marcus Rashford's controversial first-half opener.

Oxlade-Chamberlain came on to replace Divock Origi on the hour as Liverpool looked to come from behind against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's outfit.

After the final whistle was blown by referee Martin Atkinson, the Liverpool star approached two fans on his way to the dressing room.

The midfielder can be seen offering fist bumps to two United fans who look to reject this friendly gesture.

One supporter is then spotted mouthing "f*** off" at the 26-year-old who shrugs his shoulders and walks away.

It is unknown as to why Oxlade-Chamberlain approached the fans, with some reports suggesting the England international had received some "grief" during his sideline warm-up.

Jurgen Klopp's side now sit six points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, and fifteen points clear of their bitter North West rivals.
