Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana 'transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain'

Liverpool attacking midfielder Adam Lallana is attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.

Mirror Football say that the French champions are chasing the signature of the England international as they look to replace Edinson Cavani.

Lallana joined the Reds in 2014 but has been linked with an exit as PSG hope to fill the Cavani void as he edges closer to a move away from France.

Cavani is on his way to joining LA Galaxy as the US side secure a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The knock-on impact of this deal means that a bid for Lallana could well come about during the January transfer window.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has been finding consistent game-time hard to come by. Lallana has also been linked with clubs in China and the MLS of late.

After his recent key contribution in the 1-1 draw at Manchester United last month, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had this to say about Lallana.

"A wonderful story. A wonderful, wonderful, wonderful story," Klopp said. "This weekend we had a long talk in general about our situation, and he is completely relaxed and fine and knows how difficult it is at the moment to come into the team.

“But he just trains well and he deserved that; it was 25-30 minutes and he had a proper impact. Then scoring a goal, wow. That was really, really nice."
