Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal among 11 clubs keen on transfer of French star

Highly-rated Rennes midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud is a man in demand this summer as five Premier League giants fight it out for his signature.

Bourigeaud, 25, has become up an integral player at Roazhon Park after arriving from French rivals Lens in 2017.

The midfield maestro made a whopping 52 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring nine goals and providing a further 10 assists.

His performances have attracted the interest of Europe's biggest clubs and the latest reports have claimed that as many as 11 potential suitors are keen on securing his services.

According to Spanish daily sports paper Estadio Deportivo , Liverpool , Chelsea , Tottenham , Arsenal and Manchester United are among those keeping tabs on his situation.

Arsenal could potentially step up their interest if Lucas Torreira quits the club after just one season and returns, as expected, to Italy.

The midfielder impressed in his first season at the Emirates but claimed he preferred life in Italy in a recent interview, comments that have seemingly left Arsenal in a tricky situation.

United are another team who may be forced to sign a midfielder if Paul Pogba secures his dream move to Real Madrid .

The French World Cup winner has made no secret of his desire to quit Old Trafford this summer and Madrid are understood to be leading the race to sign him.

Whether Bourigeaud makes the move to Arsenal or United remains to be seen, but he is certainly a man in demand after an impressive campaign in Ligue 1.

It is believed that his current employers are holding out for a €20million (£18m) fee, but English top-flight clubs aren't alone in showing interest.

Italian sides Inter Milan, AC Milan, Atalanta, Roma, and Napoli are all interested in the former France U20 international, while Sevilla are also keen.

The Spanish side, however, could rule themselves out of the race as they are only willing to offer €12m (10m) for the playmaker.
