Liverpool make Melwood change after winning FIFA Club World Cup

Liverpool secured the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time in their history at the weekend.

The Reds beat Flamengo 1-0 in Qatar thanks to a Roberto Firmino strike to become world champions.

It is the third international trophy in the bag this calendar year after Jurgen Klopp's men landed the Champions League back in June and the Super Cup earlier this season.

And no time has been wasted adding the achievement to the 'Champions Wall' that is proudly displayed at Melwood training ground.

It features every major trophy the Reds have claimed in their glittering history.

And now the FIFA Club World Cup can be seen on the end of the row.

It is not the only change that fans may notice after the victory in Doha on Saturday.

Liverpool are also entitled to wear a golden FIFA Champions badge on their kits.

UEFA will permit the club to sport the badge on their shirts in the Champions League this season and next term.

However, Premier League stipulations mean that a formal application would be required to register anything different on existing kits worn in domestic matches.

The badge is set to be presented to Liverpool at an official ceremony.
