Liverpool fans love what Alisson did after Mohamed Salah goal against Manchester United

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker followed in the footsteps of Pepe Reina by racing down the pitch to celebrate with Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian had just at Anfield when the Brazilian raced past his team-mates to celebrate with the forward after his pass had sent Salah in the clear.

The scenes were similar to the ones of when David N'Gog scored Liverpool’s second in their 2-0 win over United back in 2009.

Plenty of fans spotted the celebration straight away and made the comparison between Reina and Alisson.

Virgil van Dijk headed Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead in the first half before Roberto Firmino saw a goal chalked off by VAR.

And despite long periods of pressure in the second half, it wasn’t until the final minute of stoppage time when the Reds sealed all three points thanks to Salah.

Klopp’s side now sit 16 points clear of second-place Manchester City and look well on course to end their 30-year wait for a league title.

Next up for the Reds is a trip to Wolves on Thursday night.

At this stage, that would guarantee them the title, regardless of results elsewhere.

10 wins from their remaining 16 matches would be enough to secure it.
