Liverpool line up vs MK Dons includes three debutants

Naby Keita makes his first start for Liverpool in nearly six months as Rhian Brewster makes his senior Liverpool debut at MK Dons.

Keita hasn't played a competitive game since limping out of the Champions League semi-final in Barcelona on May 1 but is named in a midfield three alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana as the Reds get their Carabao Cup campaign up and running at Stadium MK.

Harvey Elliott will become the second youngest player in Liverpool's history when he starts on the right of a front three, with only Jerome Sinclair at 16 years and six days, younger than the former Fulham starlet.

Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher makes his senior debut, with Andy Lonergan on the bench to give Adrian the night off.

Ki-Jana Hoever makes just his second senior appearance with the Dutch teenager selected at right-back alongside a central defensive partnership of Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren and James Milner on the left.

Like Hoever, Curtis Jones is making his second appearance as a Liverpool player with the city-centre-born attacker expected to line up on the left of a front three with Brewster in the No.9 making his senior debut for the European champions.

A youthful bench includes Adam Lewis, Herbie Kane, Sepp van den Berg, Luis Longstaff and  Leighton Clarkson. All five players will become Liverpool debutants if they are selected by Klopp, while Pedro Chirivella is also named.

Kelleher; Hoever, Gomez, Lovren, Milner; Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita; Elliott, Brewster, Jones.

Subs: Lonergan, Lewis, Kane, Chriviella ,Van den Berg, Longstaff, Clarkson.
