Liverpool line up v Brighton confirmed as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain handed start

Trent Alexander-Arnold returns to the Liverpool side to face Brighton this afternoon as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gini Wijnaldum are also handed starts.

The Reds are without the suspended Fabinho for the next few weeks after he suffered ankle ligament damage in Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with Napoli and Wijnaldum returns to the side in place of the Brazilian.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is also given a start after his impressive showing off the bench in midweek, while Naby Keita returns to the bench after missing the Napoli game through illness.

Alisson Becker is named in goal as he aims to keep his first clean sheet of the season with Dejan Lovren again named alongside Virgil van Dijk at centre-back. Andy Robertson continues at left-back.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are unsurprisingly named in the front three as the Reds aim to keep their uneaten start to the campaign alive.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Mane, Firmino

Subs: Adrian, Gomez, Milner, Lallana, Keita, Shaqiri, Origi
