Liverpool line-up for Crystal Palace confirmed as three stars missing and new signings on bench

Joe Gomez has joined Liverpool’s absentee list for the friendly against Crystal Palace in Singapore.

Gomez left open training early on Thursday evening and will not be involved in the second and final match of the Reds’ Far East tour today.

Diogo Jota, who has undergone scans on a suspected hamstring problem, is also missing along with Alisson Becker and young duo Tom Hill and Melkamu Frauendorf.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to make wholesale changes throughout the game, although he has hinted it is likely many players will feature for at least 45 minutes after fielding three outfield teams for 30 minutes in the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United in Bangkok on Tuesday.

Adrian will start in goal, with James Milner operating as a makeshift right-back and Kostas Tsimikas in the other full-back role. Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip are the centre-backs.

Jordan Henderson is joined in midfield by young duo Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott, while Roberto Firmino leads with attack with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right and Luis Diaz left.

Summer signings Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho are both on the bench.

LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Adrian; Milner, Konate, Matip, Tsimikas; Henderson, Jones, Elliott; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Firmino, Diaz. Subs: Mrozek, Davies, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Thiago, Keita, Salah, Robertson, Nunez, Carvalho, Bajcetic, Williams, Phillips, Clark, Mabaya, Clarkson, Alexander-Arnold, Van den Berg, Norris, Morton, Chambers.
