Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has congratulated Jordan Henderson on winning the Premier League title.
The Rangers boss, who passed on the captain's armband to Henderson when he departed the club in 2015, has shared a special message with the current skipper.
Liverpool were confirmed as English champions on Thursday night following Manchester City's defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Henderson and his side have now ended a 30-year wait for a 19th top flight title.
Gerrard, who fought tirelessly during his 17-year career to end that wait himself, took to Instagram to share a message with the England international.
The 40-year-old posted a picture of himself handing the armband over to the midfielder.
He wrote: "Couldn’t of passed it to a better person . Proud of you mate @jhenderson"
The Liverpool midfielder replied to the emotional post with two love heart emojis.
