Sky Sports have reportedly made the decision to shake-up their coverage of Soccer Saturday for the 2020/21 season.
Matt Le Tissier has confirmed that he will no longer be taking part in the show, with Mirror Football also reporting that Liverpool legend Phil Thompson and former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas will be departing.
Sky Sports have been reducing the number of staff on their books recently and it has been reported that the trio were all told about the news on Tuesday.
Alongside Paul Merson and presenter Jeff Sterling, Le Tissier, Thompson and Nicholas have been fixtures of the well-liked Soccer Saturday show, with the latter three having almost 50 years of TV experience between them.
Thompson starred for Liverpool from 1971 to 1984, picking up 16 major honours along the way.
He also enjoyed a stint as the Reds' caretaker manager during the 2001/02 season.
Thompson turned down the chance to head back into football in 2010 when Gerard Houllier took over at Aston Villa and offered him a coaching role. Instead he continued his work with Sky Sports.
Whilst Le Tissier has confirmed his departure, Thompson's potential exit is yet to be verified fully.
Sky Sports have been contacted for comment.
