Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher shows his class with derby day message to recovering fan

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has showed his class with a message to a supporter ahead of tonight’s clash against Everton.

The Reds take on their local rivals at Goodison Park this evening in their first match since the Premier League’s restart.

Victory against their local rivals would move Liverpool one step closer to securing a long-awaited Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp’s side need just six more points from their final nine league fixtures to guarantee that the trophy heads to Anfield for the first time in 30 years.

Ahead of the game, one Liverpool supporter took to Twitter to send Carragher a message asking for a quick video reply, after their younger brother had woken up following a major heart operation.

Carragher, showing his class, honoured the request and posted a short video message to the Reds fan.

“Hi Matty, just heard the news that you came through a major operation, I’m delighted for you,” said Carragher.”

“Hopefully you get the result that you want later on.

“It’s derby day, a big day for everyone in the city, hopefully you enjoy it as much as me.”
