Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher hits back at Gary Neville and Paddy Power digs

Jamie Carragher has hit back at pal Gary Neville and betting site Paddy Power on social media after the Liverpool legend aired his political views.

The bookmaker released the odds of the next Prime Minister after Theresa May announced she would step down if her latest Brexit deal is passed by MPs.

In comical fashion Paddy Power tweeted the image of Liverpool's 2010 team from the night they played Napoli away in the Europa League and wrote: "Most uninspiring line-up since this Liverpool team."

The Reds earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw as Carragher captained a weakened side containing Kop flops such as Paul Konchesky, Milan Jovanovic and Christian Poulsen.

The former England international shared the image and wrote: "At least we got a result in Europe! And our front two didn't promise the NHS 350 million!"

Fellow Sky Sports pundit Neville quickly got involved after Carragher continued to share his opinions.

The Manchester United legend replied to the tweet saying: "You'd better be on Sky News"

Neville then shared a fixture list of his upcoming Sky Sports appearances outlining he is "More like Bercow", alluding to the speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow who appears in parliament most days.
