Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher backs Bobby Duncan before slamming agent Saif Rubie

Jamie Carragher has backed Bobby Duncan after the teenager's representative claimed he was being kept at Liverpool against his will amid a number of staggering claims.

Duncan's representative, football agent Saif Rubie, - endorsed by Duncan and pinned until it was later removed - making a series of sensational claims.

They included the young striker being unhappy, sporting director Michael Edwards rejecting offers for his sale and the Reds reportedly believing the player will never play for the club.

Liverpool legend Carragher posted a message back to Rubie calling him a clown via an emoji and offered Duncan advice he believes his agent should have been giving him, as you can see in the tweet below.

Rubie then replied to the former defender and the pair had an exchange on the social media site via a series of tweets which you can see below.

The Reds this week rejected an approach from Fiorentina to take Duncan on loan for the season with an option to make the deal permanent for £1.6million next summer.

Academy director Alex Inglethorpe turned down the offer from the Serie A side, with Liverpool having already dismissed a loan move for the 18-year-old from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland.
