Liverpool legend Graeme Souness nails what makes Leeds United exciting to watch

Graeme Souness was full of praise for Leeds United after their win over Leicester City.

After initially going a goal behind after a goal from Harvey Barnes, the Whites quickly responded with a strike from Stuart Dallas.

Second-half goals from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison completed a second consecutive win in the Premier League for Leeds, and sees them remain in 12th place in the table.

Despite being in the bottom half of the table, Leeds are now just four points outside of the top six in their first season back in the top flight.

After the game, Liverpool legend Souness believes Leeds are a great team to watch for the neutral, and feels sometimes Bielsa prioritises performances over getting the win in the bag.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Souness said of Leeds’ win over Leicester: “Fantastic. Great to watch.

He added: “You want Leeds to do well just for their honesty and the way they attempt to play.

“If you’re a football person, you’ll enjoy Leeds all day long.

“Go back to the first day of the season at Anfield, you’re thinking, ‘wow, this is a team that’s come up and treated it like they’ve always been there’.

“They’re treating it with freedom, the manager deserves great credit, I think he’s putting performances in front of results, it makes it a great watch.”
