Liverpool make kit change for Man City Premier League showdown

Liverpool will have a slightly different look when they take to the field against Manchester City on Sunday.

The Reds have once again teamed up with main sponsor Standard Chartered to swap the logo on the front of their shirts for one promoting the 'Futuremakers by Standard Chartered' initiative.

The Futuremakers programme aims to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for young people, and focus on education, employability and entrepreneurship.

The charity aims to fundraise and donate $75million (£55m) between 2019 and 2023.

Standard Chartered is also swapping its logo on the Liverpool FC Women’s team’s shirts for their game against Aston Villa Women on Wednesday, October 13.

Liverpool's players will sign the limited edition shirts after the matches and then put them up for auction between October 5 and 24. All proceeds raised are matched by Standard Chartered and go to Futuremakers by Standard Chartered.

Last season's home game against Leicester City and the Anfield clash against Tottenham Hotspur the previous campaign saw the Reds promote the Futuremakers programme in a similar fashion.

And the visit of Manchester City in October 2018 saw Liverpool wear their usual shirts with 'Seeing is Believing' printed on the front - another initiative that works with Standard Chartered in an attempt to tackle avoidable blindness.
