Dejan Lovren is set to return from illness to give Jurgen Klopp a fully-fit Liverpool squad to pick from at Cardiff on Sunday.
The Croatian felt unwell in the build-up to the Reds’ midweek Champions League trip to Porto and was left on Merseyside to watch his team-mates complete a 6-1 aggregate victory.
However, Klopp has revealed that his No6 will be ready to make his comeback when attentions turn back to the Premier League title race this weekend.
He said: “Dejan was ill, so he should be available again, we will see that. Pretty much all the rest should be available.
“I heard nothing after the Porto game. Of course, after games a few players have slight little problems but nothing really serious so it should be okay, should be all in.”
Joe Gomez played his first minutes since returning from a broken leg as he featured as a substitute in Portugal on Wednesday evening.
But, as is the case with the fit-again Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the young Englishman will not be thrown straight back into the starting XI.
Klopp continued: “Joe looked good. Joe played 60 minutes during [last] week, now 15-20, [he] looks good.
“Will he start? We will see. We have a lot of players with a lot of rhythm, which is good to have, it’s very important.
“It’s the same for Ox, it’s not about being ready and you come immediately in - as long as the other players show in training no drop in form or whatever, then we came here like this.
“It’s very good to have them back and have them in contention, that’s all.”
Predicted XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
