Liverpool injury news including Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Andy Robertson latest

Liverpool are hopeful that most of their key players will be fit to face Wolves in the Premier League title decider this weekend.

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were among the players to sit out of the historic 4-0 win over Barcelona on Tuesday night.

Salah was recovering from concussion suffered in the game against Newcastle , while Firmino's muscle injury problems ensured he remained on the sidelines.

Further problems struck as Andy Robertson was unable to return to the pitch for the second half with a calf issue.

Speaking following the game, Robertson said: “It doesn’t feel the best at the minute but I’ll get a scan tomorrow.

“They’re confident that it’s just a nerve or whatever and it can be maybe a couple of days, but we’ll wait and see. We can’t really comment until I get the scan, but I’ll be saying my prayers tonight.”

On a more positive note for Jurgen Klopp, Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane were all able to play through knocks during the game and should be fine to play at the weekend.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will also be available for selection against Wolves, after Klopp confirmed that he was just being rested during for the Barcelona match.

Salah and Firmino are both expected to be part of the matchday squad.

Naby Keita also missed out with a tendon rupture in his knee, which has ended his season and will also rule him out of this summer's Africa Cup of Nations.

Klopp, speaking at full-time, said: "Obviously tonight was really intense and we started without Bobby, Mo and Naby.

"Ox was not available but only we rested him – he’ll hopefully be an option for the weekend.

"Hendo got an unbelievable kick against his knee, and Robbo got the heel of Suarez against his calf.

"You saw both limping; then Virg goes down, then Sadio goes down, and you think, ‘OK, it would help if we could finish the game with 11!’

"So we will see, we’ll try to collect the bones and go again against Wolves."
