Liverpool injury news ahead of Arsenal clash as Jurgen Klopp suffers Mohamed Salah blow

Two of the most in-form teams in the Premier League matchup on Wednesday night, as Liverpool travel to the Emirates to face Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.

The Gunners made it five wins in a row on Sunday as they beat Leicester City by two goals to nil at the Emirates Stadium. Thomas Partey's header gave Mikel Arteta's side an early lead, before a contentious penalty decision following Caglar Soyuncu's handball gave Alexandre Lacazette the chance to make it 2-0 from the spot.

They'll now turn their attention to Liverpool, who will be looking to capitalise on Manchester City dropping points in the title race after their draw with Crystal Palace on Monday night. Whilst Jurgen Klopp's side are still incredibly strong, they are likely to be without their most prominent goal threat as Mohamed Salah remains a doubt.

The Egyptian was substituted moments after finding the net in Liverpool's 2-0 win at Brighton having hurt his foot early on in the second half. To add to Klopp's concern, he was notably absent from the outside session at the AXA Training Centre on Monday as the Reds ramped up their preparations for the game, as reported by our colleagues at the Liverpool Echo.

James Milner and Kostas Tsimikas were also absent from the session, whilst Ibrahima Konate returned to full training having missed the Reds' last two games. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino, who all failed to make the matchday squad at Brighton at the weekend, also took part in the session.
