Liverpool injury boost with Dejan Lovren ready to make Wolves squad

Dejan Lovren is in contention to return to the Liverpool squad at Wolves after resuming full training earlier this week.

But the Reds will be without Xherdan Shaqiri, James Milner and Naby Keita at Molineux, despite that trio edging closer to fitness.

Lovren has been out of action since sustaining a hamstring injury during the Champions League group-stage win over RB Salzburg in December.

“Dejan trained now since the start of the week, Monday," Klopp told reporters on Wednesday. "So, [it’s his] first steps out on the pitch, it’s good.”

Keita and Milner have both been sidelined since picking up muscle problems in the same week in early January.

Shaqiri, meanwhile, is nursing a small knock suffered in training in the build-up to Sunday’s win over Manchester United.

On their progress, Klopp added: “Millie is not in team training, Naby is not in team training and Shaq is not in team training.

“They are all back soon.”
