Liverpool will record the second-highest points tally in their Premier League history this coming season - but it won't be enough to pip Manchester City to the title.
That's according to research commissioned by BT Sport who have painstakingly predicted the fortunes of every club in the top flight across the course of the forthcoming season.
Ahead of the new term, the broadcasters have attempted to determine the outcomes for the entire year from top to bottom, with the Reds once more finishing as runners-up.

BT Sport's 'The Script' is an exhaustive document that keeps track of all 20 top-flight clubs and their trials and tribulations for the 2019/20 campaign, which gets underway when Liverpool host Norwich on August 9.
According to the work conducted by data scientists and analysis experts Squawka, the Reds are kept off top spot again by Pep Guardiola's champions, with Jurgen Klopp's men racking up 88 points to City's 94.
The 88-point haul is nine less than last season's finish, but is still enough to sit in second of the club's highest-ever tallies in what will be the Premier League's 28-year history.

Mohamed Salah is once more the best marksman around, with the 'Egyptian King' rattling in 29 goals to win his third successive Golden Boot.
The goal-laden return makes Salah the first Liverpool player in history to finish top of the charts for three seasons running in the Premier League.
The 29 strikes takes Salah up to 83 Premier League goals in just three full seasons, leaving only Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard and Robbie Fowler in front of him.

Klopp earns his first win at Old Trafford, according to the data, as the Reds brush Manchester United aside, but the European champions endure an off-day at the Etihad as they ship four to City.
Reds fans are given an Anfield afternoon to truly savour as Klopp's side hammer fierce rivals United 6-1 to record an eight-game winning streak. The humiliating defeat would be the Red Devils' biggest reverse since City inflicted the same scoreline on them back in 2011.
Liverpool's defence of the Champions League sadly ends at the quarter-final mark with Barcelona gaining a measure of revenge for May's semi-final by knocking out Klopp's side across two legs.
Trent Alexander-Arnold makes Premier League history by becoming the first full-back to reach over 10 assists in back-to-back seasons as Salah becomes only the second Liverpool player to notch 20 Champions League goals, alongside Steven Gerrard.

Meanwhile, 20 clean sheets for the Reds sees Alisson narrowly miss out on a second Golden Glove to City's 21 as the Brazilian helps his side to a total of 414 shutouts across the division's history.
