Liverpool Ice Festival is giving away free skating to emergency services staff and here's how to get it

Emergency services staff will have the chance to ice skate for free this month as Liverpool Ice Festival launches a special offer.

From Monday, November 18 until Wednesday, November 20, NHS, police, fire brigade and military staff can head down to Liverpool’s iconic Pier Head , grab a pair of skates and gracefully - or not so gracefully - begin their festive skate.

All staff will need to do on the day is take along a valid ID badge to the box office to pick up their free tickets.

Kate Karagholi, director of marketing and PR for Arena UK & Europe said: “We owe a lot to the emergency services, and many of us are impacted in some way by their incredible work. Offering free skating sessions is our small way of saying thank you.”

Liverpool Ice Festival returns to Pier Head from November 13 until January 5, with a giant ice slide, ice rink, funfair rides, and plenty of festive food and drink to go around.

From November 13 to December 18 the festival is open from 11am - 9pm on weekdays and 10am - 9pm on weekends.

From December 19 to January 5 opening hours are from 10am until 9pm.

Ice skating prices start from £10 per child and £12 per adult.
