Liverpool hour by hour weather forecast at Met Office snow warning starts

Liverpool is braced for snow and ice tonight as the Met Office weather warning comes into force.

The weather organisation issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice which starts at 5pm on Thursday and lasts until Midnight on Friday.

Temperatures are set to plummet overnight with a widespread frost forecast alongside some wintry showers.

The Met Office warning said: "Icy stretches are likely to form perhaps leading to some disruption to travel with snow falling for some places.

"Expect some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

"Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

"Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services."
